Sammy Sosa‘s 600th homer resembled so many that came before — except this time the Chicago Cubs were on the other side.
Playing for the Texas Rangers after a year out of baseball, Sosa became the fifth member of the 600-homer club Wednesday night when he connected against his former team [SI].
Does this get him in the Hall of Fame?
- 5th player ever to hit 600 Homers
- He and Mark McGuire saved Baseball’s image in the pursuit of Maris’ single season homer run record
- He weighed 160 pounds soaking wet when he hit the majors in 1989
- Sosa is a nicer guy than Barry Bonds
- How many of those were hit with a bat full of Super balls™©® etc.??
- If elected to the HOF, will he need an interpreter like he did when he testified before Congress?
