Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

According to Pete Fiutak of College Football News, Florida at LSU is the #1 game of the year in 2007 [link]. Without the refs homecooking (Hester scored last year) at the best field (the Swamp) to take a dump; and with JaMarcus Russell conducting his mental meltdowns in the NFL, Florida will lose in Baton Rouge.

This could damn well be the Gators 3rd loss of the season as the Bull Gator Alumni begins to grumble.. with almost all of Ron Zook’s recruits gone, the Meyer-led Gates “dynasty” is beginning to fizzle as well as the Bull Gators patience….

If the Florida Spread Option Gun and Run Offense is ‘firing’ on all cylinders like last season, by the time UF gets to Baton Rouge and that is gonna mean 10 or 13 points! It should be a knock-down, drag-out, slobber-knocker of a game.

Which coach will burn up all of their timeouts trying to decide whether to punt on a 4th and 21? Will ‘The Bow’ still be operational? He does face the Barn and UT in the preceding weeks, by LSU his sternum might be crushed. Or will Herban just get into a fetal position and weep? [Herban cried like an ass-stuck bitch]

1. Florida at LSU, Oct. 6
The big debate at the end of last year was whether or not Ohio State and Michigan should face each other in a rematch for the national championship. As the bowl games showed, the debate should’ve been about how the powers-that-be could’ve come up with a rematch of the Gators and Tigers after the bowls had been played. Florida won an early October showdown 23-10, but that was in The Swamp. Now LSU gets the national champions in Death Valley, where it won 21-17 in 2005. Considering the superstar status of both programs, they’ve never faced each other for the SEC title, and they might finally do it this year. But first, LSU will take care of business despite getting tagged for at least two big plays from the Florida receiving corps. The Tiger defensive front will keep Tim Tebow from running, and should come up with several sacks. Florida will be a little more battle tested, having already played Tennessee and Auburn, but it’ll run into a defensive buzzsaw. If Urban Meyer had more than a week to prepare, the Gators would pull off the upset. He doesn’t, and they won’t.
Predicted score in July: LSU 26 … Florida 13

    Just the facts, ma’am.

I have no idea why I read this blog….it’s drivel. I think I might retire.

  2. easily the best game this year, unless it is USC and UF

  3. A lot can change over the next 3 months. But I hope it turns out to be as great of a game as people are hyping it up to be.

  4. if everything remainded ‘sterile’, injuries (suspensions/arrests at Florida), this will be one of the better games.

  5. “remainded”?

But I get what you’re saying and I agree.

  6. new word. Hey, i have some new words in for review with the Urban Dictionary. Hopefully they will be approved soon

  7. Ahh, I see.

  8. If UF makes it though this game…we will have a great year.
