It was one of the weirdest comments I have ever heard in a broadcast. It’s not like it was a blowout and there was nothing to talk about. Mike Patrick just confirmed to me that he is weird and must wear women’s panties or wearing red fishnets in a very Oscar De la Hoya [SBB] kind of way.

Mike Patrick randomly bursts out with, “Britney Spears, what is she doing with her life?” Blackledge responded with like “Britney?” Then Patrick said something else about Britney Spears and then Blackledge asked him if she was at the game and then Patrick said “I’s sure she’s watching or that he’s sure that she’s a football fan.” Blackledge played it off pretty well and thankfully they had to get back to calling a close game. But I sensed that Blackledge wanted to ask, “WTF”?[A serious look at Gundy]

    Patrick has long been a terrible play-by-play guy, and I’ve often wondered if he has photos of ESPN’s executives and has been blackmailing them over the course of the past 20 years. That’s really the only rational explanation for his continued presence. With that being said, at least Patrick doesn’t walk out in public proudly exposing his incredibly huge vagina. At least I don’t think he does.

    The only thing Patrick sayd during his broadcast every Saturday is “Hoooly Cow” every time even a remotely good play is made. Dont believe me actually listen to him next week. Woodson throws…complete on the sideline…12 yards…Holy Cow…Britney.

    Weird, yes. Entertaining, yes. Great timing at a tense moment in the game, yes. Mike Patrick is a great broadcaster and quite frankly, you’re not.

    during pillow talk, j.j. redick told him to talk about women on the air to throw us all off the trail. rough estimate: 45% of all play-by-play announcers are legally senile.

    That was, without a doubt, the most bizarre comment I have ever heard in a broadcast. All I wanted was to watch Georgia rip the heart out of the chest of those insane, annoying Bama fans and Patrick goes and puts that skank’s image in my head.
