No one has ever accused me of showing any sympathy or love whatsoever to anyone or anything associated with the BCS B-List abortion that is known as the Big East. Everyone knows the Big East’s automatic BCS appearance is holding the place of the 2nd automatic BCS bid for the SEC. The SEC is clearly superior. But while waiting in the drive-thru when making a run for the border I checked the NCAA news on my cellular telephone device and saw this.
In case you are too fucking lazy (join the Coast Guard) to click on the link, here’s the nuts of it: Da’Ville kicked LB Willie Williams off the team for possession of Florida’s State Plant, the sticky-icky. The kid had a few run-ins with the law in HS (okay, 11 of them) and didn’t “pan out” at Da U. Is that possible? Sgt. Major Winslow panned out at Da U. Da’Ville’s AD and Coach Kragthorpe made the kid sign a contract saying any Gate-like activity would get his ass booted from the team. Well, the kid fucked up and was actually kicked off of the team.
This is the first, and possibly last time I will applaud anything that happens in the Big Least. This team-discipline should be a virtue of every program. Would there be some people pissed off at first? Sure. Would your top 10 team possibly get their asses handed to them two weeks in a row by two basketball schools? It might be possible, but it is worth it in the long term. Jeremy Foley turns a blind eye to Herban’s “discipline” for now, but what happens when The Sooners of the 21st Century get the death penalty a la SMU?
Non-Gate SEC fans laughed at what happened to the jort-wearers in the off-season, laugh at Jerrell Powe in Oxpatch, and laughed at Albert Means in the Ghettos of T-Town. What we forget is the fans from the non-SEC schools use these jokes against us. $EC, Society of Ethical Cheaters, and Southeastern Criminals are all thrown in our faces by the non-superior conference fans. How long will AK-47’s, ganja, keg tossing, and 890 SAT scores be as celebrated in Gunsville as those trophies they have won in the past two years?
