Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

What happened to the Caliph the last time that he went to Baton Rouge?  He cried, the building blocks of the legend were “laid”.

It is time for Herban Meyer to return to a  hostile SEC football in Baton Rouge. He was able to hold off the tears after Auburn beat him. When LSU destroys the Gates, it is a sure bet that Meyer will be unable overcome his emotions.

Let’s pray that the corndoggers cut loose with the hell raising. I want to see a grown man cry.

I am a bit concerned, it appears that there are some sensitive and ‘PC’ coon-asses at LSU that don’t like the cheers. LSU needs to get a grip and STFU. Let the students unleash their fury on Florida. [Daily Reveille]. Fuck Herban, this isn’t the Mountain West Conference.

Last time I went to a coonass game I thought there was a limitation upon Tiger Rag, but I wasn’t sure.

I will say this about LSU fans, they are generally pretty nice people unless they are playing Ole Miss or Alabama or Arkansas or Florida or Tennessee or UGA or any ranked team at home. (Exception being the Tragedy Bowl between VT and LSU)
