This was probably the best game I watched. Both teams came out ready to play and gave it their best. Even though I thought LSU as a bit ‘flat’. Damn you Kentucky, Damn you to hell for the ruin of the best Conference in the Country. I suspect that now Ohio State with that pussy schedule, a combined 22-24 W/L, will somehow move into the top spot. Just how many SEC teams would beat the Buckeyes by 2 TDs?
To put it into perspective, UK started this game without their starting tailback (Raphael Little) a starting linebacker (Johnny Williams) and a starting safety (Marcus McClinton). In most cases this would have been a disaster waiting to happen but the other players stepped up and played like they are capable of playing and played physical. When is the last time Kentucky has taken on the top team in the SEC and been the more physical team….maybe the 50’s…maybe never, but they were tonight and they may very well be the most physical team in the SEC this year week. Given the fact LSU came in with the #1 ranked defense and UK’s Oline had not given up no sacks speaks volumes. I don’t know what the stats are for Dorsey but I can only recall hearing his name called once or twice…not too shabby.
