    Hey Vol, Lance Thompson – who is the guy recruiting a lot of those guys – now works for UT. So I guess he suddenly became a solid citizen? Just like Rodney Garner only buys players at UGA and Auburn but not at UT?

    And Vol, am I missing something here? It looks like 13 of the 22 Bama recruits moved DOWN in the latest rankings. Did you actually read this before posting? Or CAN you read? Just asking . . .I would think if someone geoes, for eample, from “#120 to #167” they went DOWN in the rankings . . .

    Nobody gives a shit about Rivals’ rankings. They have a bunch of clueless high school twerps rating players. Case in point, Rivals rated Ole Miss DT, Peria Jerry, 2 Stars out of South Panola. Of course, he was named an AP first team All American this year and is projected to go in the first fifteen of the NFL Draft.

    I will agree with you on this Vol: Bama recruits are rated too high in Rivals, and I am a Bama guy. That home site explained a lot. They used to rate those Shula classes in the top 5 too so I wouldn’t trust them one bit. Scout is better but all recruiting rankings are as suspect as Marcus Schrenker’s stock deals.

    I think that Shula’s classes were pretty good. Saban is winning with them. Good coaching is underrated

    Shula DID look cool. AND his wife was smoking hot. Just couldn’t coach. I think he recruited OK but just OK. A lot of the players who made the difference this year were NOT his – Cody, Julio, Mark Ingram, Rolando Mclain etc. Bt he did get Andre Smith etc.
