Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

I think the death threats stuff is completely made up and simply a PR move to get everybody to rally around him as QB. Why now?  A built in excuse for last year?  A built in excuse for the coming year?  Or to keep the spotlight on his wormkilling ass?

With that said….

As much as I love to wear my EB jersey to the games, this year I am wearing my JC jersey to every game to show my support for this guy.  He has been put in a series of tough situations and has really handled all the curve balls with poise and character.  I would like to think that I would handle myself in the same manner as I am sure we all would like to think we would, but I honestly cannot tell myself I would be able maintain as well as JC.

Even if JC does not bounce back, I am wearing my JC jersey all year.  Jon Crompton, thank you for showing us all what it means to be ALL IN FOR TENNESSEE!

  1. You’re a grown ass man, and yet you wear a jersey to football games? That you do not play in? With a twenty-something year-old college kid’s name on the back? That is one of the most pathetic things I have ever read on the internet. Wow.
