Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

This was to damn good not to post on the blog. Straight out of Crompton, part one.   From the good folks at Outermonvolia.com.  I think we are on speaking terms with them again.

Last night I went to bed thinking about Ainge’s pinky…. anyway after I drifted off to sleep Ainge came to me. His pinky was about 20xs its normal size (again this was a dream!). He explained to me that it didn’t hurt at all because Fulmer had sprinkled something on it. No joke! But then I watched him throw soccer balls (?) I guess my dream didn’t have any footballs in it. He was throwing to a bunch of people that I dont think were players. Just random folks. He then told me that at the 11 minute mark (Or seven minute mark…) in the first quarter he would be relieved by Crompton. But then I think he said Crompton would be relieved by someone at the 7 minute mark but I am not sure what quarter and I am not sure why…… Then he said a bunch of nonsense, some of which I remember and some of which I don’t remember. There are some gaps that my hippocampus/limbic lobe didn’t quite catch so its all kind of jumbled.

Make of it what you will. According to Ainge in my dream he wont make it through the first quarter.
