Eer notes

Somebody said that Western Michigan was the 6th ranked rushing defense last year. I wish that we could schedule the next five for the next five weeks.  I don’t want to crow about hanging 62 points on a quality opponent.  It just isn’t classy

Just think for a moment, what  if a top 25 Big East team would have lost to a Div 1-AA (or whatever the new name is) team? We would have been laughed out of the BCS.

Why doesn’t  the Big Ten face the same scrutiny?  In fact Ohio State lost to Florida, badly.  Florida wasn’t the best team in the SEC, were they?  Herbie even admitted that the ass-whipping that UF applied, followed by ASU’s win isn’t best PR campaign

It does kind of make you wonder if the Big Ten is a self/media ranked conference given one of the worst losses in the history college football and the recent bowl history. It wasn’t like N’Western lost this game. Sure the programs are solid, have great tradition, and will win games…..but are they truly elite given the above statements? Maybe there is too much emphasis on tradition.

P.S. I am so sick of Big Ten network commercials. Seems like they’re on every five minutes. It’s almost like they did not get the cable network buy in, so they are marketing like crazy out of desperation.

    Yeah, we got our ass kicked in the BCS game last year. And yeah scUM took it on the chin big time. I loved it. I hate scUM and hope LLLLoyd Carr gets canned today. And I’m so pissed at the Big Ten Network for not letting me watch my Buckeyes b/c I don’t have directtv, so FUCK them.
    As for the ass whooping last year, 9 out of 10 times, I still think we win that game. If Ginn doesn’t get hurt, we are still in it. And if Capt. Sweatervest would change up the D a little to stop what Herban was doing, we would have been golden. But we got our ass kicked I’ll admit it.
    But remember, just b/c the media wanted to make scUM out to be a great team this year, not everyone bought it. Their D lost all of their good players, and they sucked last year, how is that a shut down D like everyone said. Henne and Hart are shitty. They are the reason that scUM’s O will suck this year. The only good player they have on O is Mario Manningham, and he’s an Ohio Product. There isn’t a biased b/c of tradition, it’s b/c truthfully, last year during the regular season, these were the 2 best teams.
    Oh, one last thing, Kirk Herbstreet sucks. You all think he is a huge homer and loved Ohio State. We all hate him b/c he is so anti-Buckeye on everything, it’s not funny. He picked scUM to win last year’s game. He is so affraid to be a tOSU Homer that is is on the other side of the fence. I don’t mind him doing other games, ones that he has no vested intrest in, but when it comes to big ten games, he sucks.

    No way that Ohio St would have beat UF 9/10 games. It did not matter what Ohio State did in that game, b/c they were physically out manned by far superior athletes. They could have played 13 on 11 and the score still would have been lop sided.

    The Big 10 as a conference is definately on a down hill slide talent wise compared to previous seasons.

    And as for WV, you should be proud of those boys for running up the score and blowing out on that big, bad, perineal power house Western Mich.

    It’s not a question. With that O last year, yeah tOSU would have won 9 out of the 10 times that game was played. It’s not a matter of far superior athletes. Whenever UF had the bal and ran a 5 yard out and moved the ball down the line, Capt. Sweatervest wouldn’t bring his cornerbacks up to stop that. Well, duh, it doesn’t take long on 5 yard passes to get a first down. And yet we still had our DB’s off the ball by 7 yards or more. And when we had the ball, once Ginn was out and you could double up on Gonzo, we were screwed. You had noone to fear, b/c as good as Robiskie is, he’s not great yet, and Pittman, well, he just got cut by the Aints, so that should say something. Yeah, I love the guy, but he wasn’t going anywhere without you haveing to respect the pass on the D b/c your D was pretty damn good last year. We had our asses handed to us, and I’ll admit that UF was better that night. I still don’t think they were the better team, and if Ginn was ok all night, the game would have went the other way. But it does no good to argue, you got us. At least we are still better than anyone in the Big Least.

    But thanks to Appy State, that made my weekend. It’s like when the chick that leaves you to fuck your best friend gets dumped b/c he goes gay. Or even better, hell I love it. I may send off a check right now to that lovely little place in NC

    Take it from someone that hates Big 10 and SEC schools, OSU was out of it’s league.
