Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

  1. By God, that’s exactly what needs to be said. That officer can be on my team all day, every day. Great find.

  2. After the second dozen “f***ing” comment, it loses it’s impact. The guy isn’t very persuasive.

  3. Get’em man. If they aren’t going be man enough to defend themselves then why should we do it anymore. Hats off to that solider. It is about time someone said something. To bad the congressman and senators that sent him to war are to chick to take a stand like that. What a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
