Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

Yesterday’s blog by Chris Low was the worst example of hit and run “journalism” I have witnessed in some time.

Low ran with a false premise………..that Tennessee had recruited and offered a scholarship to a 13 year old child.

Chris had to know that Tennessee had not officially offered Berry a scholarship. It’s not even a possibility. If Low didn’t know this, then he must be pretty stupid.

If he’s not stupid, then he is guilty of trying to create news rather than reporting it. Perhaps he should think about writing a fiction novel or something that doesn’t require him to actually research facts.

As for Brent Hubbs of Volquest.com…………….just admit that your buddy is either guilty of manufacturing the news or one of the laziest “journalists” on the planet. You can admit he was wrong. It’s ok. Even friends can be wrong Brent.  Man up. The herd mentality is the opposite of journalism. Stop protecting your pal.

Chris Low………..man up and apologize. Your blog yesterday was nothing but teenage girl-style gossip that you ran with.  I will give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume that you are lazy. I would hate to think that you knew what you were doing.
