Tennessee had a hell of a haul this NSD. It may not be a top 5 class like some were hoping.
However we had plenty cards fall our way. DoolTabby earned respect of coaches in the SEC
and elsewhere being able to hold together 8 Early Enrolees and more than half of the remaining
recruits. Here is the EBJ top 10 in my book and corresponding goods.
1) Da’Rick Rodgers
– Rogers can only be compared to those of the Elite Level. Good Hands, Great Vertical, Speedy and runs decent routes. Very Raw. Plus we stole him from UGA, and they are extremely butt hurt over the whole deal. Yet, if you ask a GA fan they completely own us and “We will make it up between the hedges this year.” If that happens Ill be taking Tequilla shots with off Marlon Brown’s Grandma’s chest. Also picked up Nash Nance via Da’Rick and I think he will be a very serviceable back up and will make the best of his time at UT.

2) Corey “Big Dawg Stuff” Miller
-BDS is probably my favorite recruit personally in this whole class. He is a walking, living quote machine, who backs his talk up on the field. He was probably our second best recruiter to Lance Thompson. BDS is going to have a cult like following come this fall. Has the potential to become one of the greats rushing the Edge at UT. Bleeds Orange and was essential in helping keep our early enrolee’s on campus. Outspoken leader on defense that we have needed since Kevin Burnett.
Brandon Willis… I’ll Holla

3) Tyler “Bombs Away” Bray
– When Herbie is calling you out on SportsCenter calling you an impact player to watch for 2010,you got something going for you. He flew under the radar and landed in K-town with his whole family. Tyler’s frame is a lil small in the weight department, but Mr. Bray’s father himself is in other words is a “bigsonbitch”. Pray has great potential, good arm, accurate, and throws a pretty deep ball.He should have a hay day in his later years throwing to Milton, Rogers, Hunter, Meline, and Teague

4) Jawuan “Jobu” James (Yes I’m making these up as I go)
-One of the Top Rated Guards in the country. Exploded in the UA all american game just like the last 5 minutes of a Peter North flick. Being on Campus as an EE was a big win for the Vols. Another great pull out of our “New found land” recruiting area of Georgia. Or as I like to say, our sandbox. 45-19.

5) Justin “Hustlin” Hunter
-Hunter is an athlete, period. He is a track start in VA. His leaping ability is second to none. He is very fast as well. Not only was he sold on the Vols football program, but the track program as well. The vols have a good history of getting track stars the football. Most Recently Jonathan Wade , who is now making NFL money. Hunter is RAW. But you can’t coach talent, when you got it you got it. Plus Corndog Breath would have never been able to get him the ball
down in LSU.

6) Jacques “The Fist” Smith
The top prospect in the state of Tennessee. Got rave reviews in the Army AA game, and tore it up all year. Has the frame and speed to play at the LB if needed, but right now he seems best fitted to play DE. Lining up on the other end of Corey Miller he could provide a nightmare for QBs. Will be fun to watch him and BDS grow and develop the next few years. Plus he hates Alabama. Who doesn’t. I think he was at more games this year then Phil Fulmer.

#7 ) Ra’Jaon”Da Real Deal” Neal
-Oh look another top player from GA. The top 5A player in the State of GA. Runs with Authority Smoothness, and great vision. Not a burner, but a Deuce McCallister type back. This could be a re-occuring theme. Current RB Toney Williams was the Top 5a player in the State of GA last year as well. I’m not sure what RICHT is thinking, but he better be saying his Hail Marys and soon if he wants to keep is job. Personally I think he should curse more and beat his wife. That’s what I would do if I couldn’t recruit the homegrown talent in my home state.

#8) Michael “Between the Posts” Palardy
– Laces out Dan! Probably the single most important recruit in terms of the positions he plays. He will make an immediate impact on special teams in the kicking game. Kickoffs, Punts, FIELD GOALS. Daniel Lincoln and his “fohawk” will be dick tucking next season. The kid stayed true to his verbal pledge for 10 months and never faltered. I hope he kicks some GW field goals in his career. Hopefully against FLA, UGA, USCe, Bammer. In no particular order.

#9) Marques “Twitch” Dixon
-Dont let his Rivals star rating fool you. Dixon is the truth. He got injured his JR year as his stock was rising fast. He is a monster in the return game and is a speedy, shifty player. Dixon was a start on one of the best teams year in and year out .In Georgia (lol…suckers) at Decatur high school, which produces D-1 talent every year. Could possibly fill Rogans punt return dutys.

10) Raiques “Eagle Scout” Crump
-Now here is a guy who only had one big time offer, and that was Tennessee. Lance Thompson knows talent at the LB position. You could say Crump was this years Robert Nelson. However, I think Crump has very good potential.Super smart (yes he is really an eagle scout) . I don’t think any other player wanted to be a VOL as bad as he did. Dude went ape shit when he found out he got an offer and committed on the spot. I hope he turns into Beast Mode.
