Tennessee and Georgia Tech kick off in about an hour.
Naturally, the Vol message board has used that time to convene a hearing on Costco, EBT cards, race, immigration and the $1.50 hot dog.
WattsBarVol got things moving:
“Seems like it’s ruining their business model….GMAFB”
GenericName immediately asked:
“wtf. Are you being racist?”
Then waylonvol:
“What’s ironic is your post is far more racist than his.”
Three posts. Three minutes.
Not one of them about Georgia Tech.
Then the thread did what these threads do: found a shovel and kept digging.
Cobb_Webb brought actual Costco policy into evidence.
AlmightyOtto introduced H1B visas, because apparently somebody had left that door unlocked.
Drake01 checked in from West Nashville with critical food-court intelligence involving cash payments and the $1.50 hot dog/coke.
By this point, the board had moved past football entirely and into EBT demographics, Census numbers, population percentages and supporting documentation.
This was no longer a thread.
It was a committee hearing conducted by men waiting for kickoff.
Finally, DoubleNickelsOnTheDime tried to restore order:
“Buddy kick off is in an hour. Save this for July.”
The board liked the post.
Then went right back to Costco.
So that’s your Tennessee pregame temperature check.
Georgia Tech is nearly here.
The Vol board would first like to settle race, federal benefits, immigration policy and who gets the $1.50 hot dog.
Perfectly normal.
