It seems that some Ole Miss fans are pretty ticked about losing a 4 star running back to Mississippi State. Sources say that an altercation between the two camps’ assistant coaches occurred outside of the recruit’s home, and it was instigated by the Ole Miss bunch. If this turns out to be factual, oh what a field day the blogosphere will have with it. Stay tuned for the latest.
Les Miles goes Howard Dean
After Nick “Feathered Angel-Winged Bangs” Saban snatched recruits and made negative comments about Les “Rainman” Miles and the LSU coaching staff.
“We’re looking forward to playing Florida,” an animated Miles said, then gradually raised his voice. “We’re looking forward to playing Auburn. But we have a new rival in (expletive deleted) Alabama.” Link here or he is pissed at Florida this link
From Hail State, Travis I hope you saw in comments that Ed Orgeron is looking for you
Today, Robert Elliot broke his silence and addressed why he went against his commitment to Ole Miss and signed with State:
“At first I was going to go to Florida State or Ole Miss,” said Elliott. “It helped when Croom told me I could come in and wear No. 2. It was really where I could go and feel comfortable and rock my No. 2. I have been wearing it since peewee and that’s the only number I can rock. If I put something else on,it won’t look right on me. I figure you’ve got to look good to play good. I can’t wear those double digit numbers.”
That’s it. No payoffs, no talk about the offensive system. No talk about State’s depth chart at running back. It came down to the fact Quinton Culberson graduated, leaving the jersey number 2 open. God bless college football.
