Nick Saban already knows that being the best coach in the Southeastern Conference (from his days at LSU) is one of the loneliest jobs in the world, it ssoooo much more lonely than even being the President of the United States. Now Saban can identify with trials and tribulations that Bear experienced at the Capstone or what Herban Meyer at Florida experienced during this horrific off season [gator troubles].

Saban’s firm and resolute leadership was put to the test with three Tide players being arrested [link]. Through Saban’s quick and decisive action, there is no doubt of who is in charge of Alabama football. Bammers know now that Bama is back. RTR.It is common knowledge that Nick Saban learned the football business from the ground floor up from his cousin Lou Saban. Picking up socks, jocks, towels for the jockstrap wearers was good training and experience for a future Bama head football coach. But he learned to discipline “student athletes” when he was a youngster in West Viriginia. Nick learned his ninja-like discipline through wrestling bears at West Virginia county fairs as a youngster (Who else wrestled bears?). The lessons learned from those wrestling matches are what he is using to turn the Bama program around 360 degrees!
Many lifelong Bama fans would prefer that the critics get off of Saban’s back. They have watched the Bear coach many years and they believe that Saban, like Shula, is another clone of the Bear, except for the unfiltered cigarettes, liquor and prostitutes.
Almost every Bammer fan believes that Bear is with Jesus while the rest believe that the Bear is still alive and living in Tunica. Either way Bear and Jesus are happy as they watch Admiral Saban steer the Alabama Aircraft Carrier back to it’s rightful place in national prominence. It is a sure bet that Jesus and the Bear both smiled as they heard Coach Saban’s statement on the most recent arrests and his disciplinary plans:
“Discipline is changing behavior. Discipline is not punishment, and you used word punishment,” he said. “Whatever we do we need to change players so they can continue to develop. If punishing them is best way to accomplish that then certainly we’ll do it.”
Everyone take a moment and remember just how far Bama has come! They will be just a play or two away from being in the hunt for another conference title or even a 15th nationaol championship. RTR!!
