Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

The second those Reddit threads started asking how LoserWithSocks got that level of access to Saban, they disappeared. Maybe it’s just Reddit mods doing their thing… or maybe certain corners of the the drive-by left wing sports media world don’t love when a story breaks outside their control.

Just as quickly, those threads were gone. Maybe it was routine moderation. Maybe not. Either way, it raises a simple question: when a story starts getting a little too close to how ‘they’ want the sport to work, who decides how far it’s allowed to go?

Not the average fan for sure.

  1. The threads didn’t die—they were buried.

I saw one of those threads before it got nuked. Comments went from “lol satire” to “wait… this is too specific” real fast.

    Then poof. Gone.
