I bitched about the PAC 10 Officiating in the Cal vs UT Game, somewhat tongue in cheek, but check this shit out from SEC hating Dennis Dodd [CBS]:
• The Cal-Tennessee game featured Pac-10 head linesman Dan Antonietti who was one of those suspended following the Oklahoma-Oregon game last year.
Head linesman Dan Antonietti and side judge Dave Curschman were part of the officiating crew that worked the Oklahoma-Oregon game last weekend. The conference suspended the entire officiating crew and instant replay officials for one game due to errors that contributed to Oregon’s 34-33 victory. However, the suspensions were staggered so that not all of the officials would be unavailable on a single weekend.
I read that the PAC-10 has a bylaw that doesn’t allow visiting teams to bring their own officials. Talk about having “it” your way….stacking the deck….homecooking. Ask Oklahoma what they think of PAC 10 officiating.
