It is so hard to believe that 25 years ago today that Bama coach Bear Bryant grew his celestial wings and acsended to his rightful place in Heaven. Bear went to be with Jesus in Glory and it is taught that he was given divine authority to start ruling.
It was thus with Bear’s disciples. During these 25 years, they worshipped and waited at the footstool of His throne. They gave expression to their faith in Him as their Saviour, to their adoration of Him as their Bear, to their love to Him as their Coach, to their devotion and readiness to work for Him as their Master.
Bear was the one object of thought, of love, of delight. In such worship of faith and devotion their souls grew up into intensest communion with Him upon the throne, and when they were prepared, the baptism of power came. It was power within and power around. If all goes well next season, Bama will be voted 1,2 and 3 in the BCS Standings.
Karma’s a mother (especially when Bear’s calling the shots)…..Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!
Here is old and wise co-conspirator Mal Moore pointing towards where the Bear lives and rules this sinful world, his heavenly throne. Mal has been through the wars with Bear. He is a legend same as the Bear only Mal is still alive. Reminds me of another Red Elephant Club legend that is in heaven with the Bear, Logan Young (pictured below).
What a legacy off class and tradition!! The SEC says “Thanks” to the Bear and the Flagship University of Alabama, The Capstone!!
Here is Bear’s statue. As a sign of respect and homage, I hope to leave a Coke, Golden Flake Chips, a bottle of whiskey, unfiltered cigarettes, a prostitute and a slush fund bag to defray the costs of buying refs (or buy a recruit). Alas this is but a dream, I am but an infidel, a non-believer. I know that one day I can be “converted” so that I can lead the singing of the Bammer national anthem ” We got 12 National Championship’s and Bama will be paying and praying not playing for more.” The closing benediction will be delivered by the soon to be sainted coach Nick Saban.
Bear has already made his preparations to return and welcome us into His eternal kingdom. He created a new heaven and a new earth at his museum.
Bear and Mal chose (to be) Saint Nick Saban as the next coach to lead the Crimson Tide back to Glory. Saban’s, rock hard discipline policy, on the field demeanor, and grasp of the english language (and compassion to those with speech impediments) during press conferences have endeared us all to the genius that is Nick Saban. Should he continue on the path he is now traveling, one day he can and will be mentioned in the same breath as other great Tide coaches, such as Coach Fran, Bill Curry, Mike Dubose, Mike Shula, and Mike Price…….all a credit to their profession.

THERE is no truth more generally admitted among earnest Bammers than that of their utter weakness. There is no truth more generally misunderstood and abused. Here, as elsewhere, Bear’s thoughts are heaven-high above the Bammer’s thoughts.
The Bammer often tries to forget his weakness: Bear wants them to remember it, to feel it deeply. The Bammer wants to conquer his weakness and to be freed from it: The Bear wants them to rest and even rejoice in it. The Bammer mourns over his weakness: Bear teaches His Bammers to say, “I take pleasure in Houndstooth; most gladly will I glory in the highly coveted WeedEater Bowl.”
It brings joy to the heart to see the evil and debauched anti-bammers wallow in their self-created hades of arrogance. The wheels of justice grind slow but they grind fine. That wheel of Fortune is rolling and it is moving very slow. The fun is really just now starting as Coach Nick Saban moves the Bammer Nation to its 27th National Championship or 3rd consecutive post season appearance in ritzy Shreveport.
