Can we breathe a sigh of relief after Penn State made sure that Ohio State can’t be “crop dusted” in the BCS title game for the third year in a row? No. I classify this Penn State win as a gigantic pile of fail.
In is my opinion that college football fans as a whole are dismayed by the prospect of any Big 10 team still being able to embarrass themselves in the national championship game again. Their style and game day atmosphere of football is painful to watch.
Let’s face facts, tOSU is shitty football team and Penn State struggled to beat them. I could care less that the game was played at the “Horseshoe”. A cupcake is a cupcake, ya’ll. Penn State has an easy schedule ahead (and behind them), we need some PSU chokes against Iowa or whoever the hell they have left to ensure don’t get an untested, top ranked Penn State going into the NC game as an underdog against a one loss (Bama-Florida-Texas-USC) team.
If that’s how it plays out, I’d still give it to Texas, but I suspect the media will draft USC, easily the least qualified of the four, since they so love the Trojans. so I am preparing for the annual Brent Musburger Southern Cal blowjob. I just hope the computers will come to the rescue and put the most deserving team in.
Now I am forced to pull for Alabama to win out for the rest of the year to freeze out PSU. I am sad.
