Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

I do not see WVU being invited to the ACC or any other conference, but one thing that is true is that Big East football would die without WVU. The league could not replace WVU with another state university that travels as well or has as much visibility in New Year’s Day bowls as WVU.

If the invite came from the ACC along with Rutgers being invited, I’d be all for it if they did a North and South division and our annual opponents were BC, Rutgers, Maryland, VT, UVa, and maybe Miami, then that would be a great annual schedule and would re-align much of the old ACC and create some good divisional rivalries and renew the old BE rivalries with Miami. If the ACC were aligned like it is now, then it would be a hassle and probably not worth it.

I’ve learned that The Appalachian Power are hosting a “Pat White Bobblehead Night” on July 25, 7:05 game at Appalachian Power Park. The news is that the first 1,000 people through the gate get a free Pat White Bobble Head.

  1. Eer,
Aren’t those Pittsburgh fans in the photo?

  2. Yes. Fat dumb and stupid Pitt fans.

  3. Please, make it stop. Not another year of this.

  4. Tebow is a lumbering ox

  5. Pat White is going to get his own Reality Show to document his Fail on TLC called “Little Quarterback”.

It’s slated for the 9 o’clock time slot after “Little People, Big World” at 8 and before “Little Couple” at 10.

Too bad the state of West Virginia doesn’t have basic cable. 🙁

  6. Pitt fans, WVU fans, the “Deliverence” crowd, same thing.

  7. But why would you want your team to never seriously be in contention for a league title/ BCS bowl berth again?
