Alabama’s Heisman Trophy-winning running back Mark Ingram will be honored across the state.
Gov. Bob Riley has proclaimed Wednesday “Mark Ingram Day” in the state of Alabama. Riley said Ingram has made Alabama residents proud both by his performance on the field and the character he has shown in his personal life.
Ingram is the third Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama. Auburn quarterback Pat Sullivan won the trophy in 1971 and Auburn running back Bo Jackson won it in 1985.
We did pretty well against him except for the plays where he did pretty well against us. Right? Because it’s an unorthodox formation really mean those plays don’t count as much.
While the state is celebrating his day, Ingram will be in California preparing for Thursday’s BCS National Championship Game between No. 1 Alabama and No.2 Texas at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Football, it is all we got!!
