In October 2022, Climbing through an altitude of 6000 feet, banking south on the Knoxville Seven Departure procedure, a middle-aged Bama Booster, a former Green Beret, and the CEO of a family lumber and land conglomeration found himself lost in his thoughts his opulent Gulfstream 650 Business jet.
They were above Neyland Stadium, on their way home to Lower Alabama, he was reflecting on the intense game his Tide had just lost. Looking down at the stadium he could see the orange and white checkerboard end zones, a mass of swarming Vols fans, and a thick haze of cigar smoke.
Filled with an overwhelming sense of disappointment, the bitter taste of defeat lingered in the air as his beloved Tide had lost to their arch-rivals, the Tennessee Vols. The mockery and insults hurled at him upon leaving the stadium resonated deeply, fueling his unwavering resolve to turn the tables and crush the Tennessee Vols’ season.
As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, the Bama Booster strategized and planned, seeking ways to dismantle the arrogance of the Hillbilly Tennessee program.
Anger began to consume the man, the fiery heat flushing his face and neck.
