SPRINGDALE — Sources confirmed Friday afternoon that former Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain intends to re-enroll as a student at Arkansas but not rejoin the football team.

The LWS source, Springdale/Juarez Chicken Farmer Juan Garcia Abrego, said Mustain had “numerous” options available at other colleges like UTEP. However, because the spring semester has already begun, Mustain believes this allows him more time to make an informed decision on what college he next attends, the source said.

Oddly, Mustain and his mother, Beck Campbell , pictured right, who is not even remotely hot, had no comment.

Juan, my source in Springdale, has told me that he is UTEP Head Coach Mike Price’s personal recruiting emissary on the Mustain caper. Mustain is considered a “system QB” and UTEP would be a good fit. Plus Mike Price also has that electric Alabama connection, of titty bars and credit cards.

Juan also revealed that the Mustain-Campbells are pissed that a mid-major one hit wonder program like Louisville dissed them yesterday in the national media stating “we want Mitch but not his Mom”. ThorpeKrag, You can’t have one without the other. Needless to say, negotiations have broken down.

Just when I thought the situation was running out of weird twists and turns, this happens. I know that most Razorback fans are kind people but every group has their fanatics, I just hope the kid didn’t put himself too close to the fire by coming back to Arkansas as a student. Who knew you could go from the future of a team to being a walking target for assault.

Trapped between a blind ambitious former high school coach, a stumbling idiot of a college coach who, by the way is like Frank Broyles remote control robot, and a mother who wants a child to more famous than she will ever be, Mr. Mustain has made a wise choice. Choices made in anger, frustration, and confusion are rarely wise choices.

Right now the alumni meeting in Dallas with Broyles is beginning to surface. The meeting was schedule several months ago and was to be a presentation by Frank. It occurred last night. Right not it is hard to discern between rumor and those that were actually there.
