Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

Hell to the naw. NCAA 2008, spring practice, summer workouts… It’s football time, ho’s.

Tennessee opens the season in the land of weed smoking (nothing wrong with that), liberal fuktards. That’s right. Berkeley. Cal will be looking to exact revenge after last year’s embarrassing performance in Knoxville. The difference this year is that no one will rank Cal in the top 10, much less predict them to play for a National Championship (way to go Corso). This is dangerous. Our 20 is better than your 20Each team has its own identity…this Cal team is full of what look to be complete jackasses with probably a clear memory of what happened to them in Knoxville. Tennessee played perhaps its best game of the year while the Golden Bears endured their worst. It is too early to talk players, as much of Tennessee’s starting lineup is in the air…but this game will be much closer than last year’s. Tennessee is one of the best road teams in the country, however the loss to PSU in the Outback Bowl still looms large. Could this be the motivation a talented Vol team needed to make a run at a championship? In a way too early prediction, I am taking the Vols in a 10 point come from behind win over the Golden Bears.
