Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

candle In a move that has to go through a LOT of committees before passage, the NCAA is thinking about clearing the way for kids to have a fifth year for their parents to go onto message boards and A) bitch about how their kids are getting screwed by the coaches, B) trash players ahead of their sons on the depth chart on said boards, C) send private messages encouraging kids not to sign with said school, D) suck up to board moderators to pimp their sons’ abilities uber alles on their message boards, or E) all of the above.

It’s been a quiet topic so far, but as of yet, neither Beck Campbell, nor the legions of suckass Cromptonites have made public comment. But give it time.

One response to “Message board thugs, er, players’ parents rejoice! NCAA considering 5th year of eligibility.”
