Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

Les Miles will no doubt be ridiculed for his decision to let his players play the game, great men often are, but true fans recognize the service he has given to the the game of football, LSU and his Bayou Bengal Football Team. We could all learn from Les Miles’ shining examples and show our appreciation and love for the Corndog Nation.

Miles reinstated Ryan Perrilloux back on the LSU football team despite Perrilloux being listed by federal authorities as a person of interest in a counterfeiting probe and was arrested for trying to illegally enter a riverboat casino using his older brother’s ID [Alexandria Town Talk]. More importantly, this gives Miles some depth at the already thin QB position.

Miles issued this statement: “It’s a crying shame when a player like Ryan is forced to sit out a game because of a minor indiscretion. I mean, who hasn’t been a “person of interest” in an counterfeit money operation? Can’t we hang out Riverboat Casinos “incognito” without fear of losing our “jobs”. I mean come on…no ones perfect!! Great players should be able to play no matter what their criminal record. At LSU, Coaches have no right to take away their god given gifts to be FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

  1. Here Here well said Les! This and Ronnie Wilson pleading no contest yesterday just show how football players SHOULD be treated “special”. Wilson received two years of court-supervised probation during his plea agreement Thursday, and must forfeit his firearm and perform 100 hours of community service. Wilson also must speak at an upcoming anti-violence rally and have a mental health evaluation. If the Docs don’t find him “Charles Manson” crazy, then Herban should lift the one year suspendtion and reinstate his scholarship. After all he might wear LSU colors easily.

  2. Yeah, kick him off the team for using a fake ID! That’s all the kid has been guilty of. It’s not like he was toking up with Herban Meyer in the back room somewhere.

  3. Or shooting an AK-47 on a riverboat with a blunt hanging off of his lip!!

  4. Perrilloux is to fucking fat to lift an AK-47, but that would be a funny image since it’s what most LSU fans believe about the kid.

Sometimes I think I’m the only LSU that doesn’t think the sky is falling.

  5. […] further violating team rules. Then there’s Les “Big Hat Small Penis” Miles that gave his QB another break even though he’s listed as a person of interest in a counterfeiting probe. And who can forget […]

  6. […] my mind.   Fight at the Varsity before the Bammer game?  One game suspension.  Involvement with counterfeit cash?  No charges, no problem.  Using a fake ID at a Baton Douche casino?  Big deal, that’s a […]
