Les Miles will no doubt be ridiculed for his decision to let his players play the game, great men often are, but true fans recognize the service he has given to the the game of football, LSU and his Bayou Bengal Football Team. We could all learn from Les Miles’ shining examples and show our appreciation and love for the Corndog Nation.
Miles reinstated Ryan Perrilloux back on the LSU football team despite Perrilloux being listed by federal authorities as a person of interest in a counterfeiting probe and was arrested for trying to illegally enter a riverboat casino using his older brother’s ID [Alexandria Town Talk]. More importantly, this gives Miles some depth at the already thin QB position.
Miles issued this statement: “It’s a crying shame when a player like Ryan is forced to sit out a game because of a minor indiscretion. I mean, who hasn’t been a “person of interest” in an counterfeit money operation? Can’t we hang out Riverboat Casinos “incognito” without fear of losing our “jobs”. I mean come on…no ones perfect!! Great players should be able to play no matter what their criminal record. At LSU, Coaches have no right to take away their god given gifts to be FOOTBALL PLAYERS!
