Here is your Chris Leak update

Breakdown: Chris Leak didn’t get any action Saturday night and, due to limited arm strength and a deliberate release, doesn’t look ready yet to compete for a job on an NFL roster—at least not this one. [Chicago Tribune]

If his arm strength sucks then the CFL would not be any better. The field is bigger. That’s why I suggest he try the Arena League, smaller field. Nope, scratch that too. Arena League is to violent and he is a ‘Dove’ QB.

Maybe he can go back to UF and be a grad assistant. Nope, scratch that too. Meyer hates his guts. How do I know this? Why else would he always call the option play so often? To watch Leak shart himself in the huddle? Sphincter control and brain activity were not his strong suits.

I love Chris Leak. He is a great Gator and I am thankful and appreciative for everything he did for and at the University of Florida. He won thethree or four Heismans, the  SEC and a National Championship.  More importantly, like with Vince Young before him, Chris  proved that having a low IQ won’t stop a QB from winning a National Championship.  Tebow and his 890 SAT score can repeat this year for the Gates.

That being said, he is not an NFL quality quarterback. He may hang around a team for a while, but he will never get significant playing time in the league.

    Peyton Manning is a classically trained actor, who has critically aclaimed appearances as himself on Saturday Night Live and in a series of Mastercard Commercials. His most famous role is the role of acting like the Indiappolis Colts Quarterback on several regular season and playoff NFL games including the 2007 Superbowl.

    His entire acting career has been met with approval, except for the direct TV commercial with his “oh I gotta run… maybe I’ll pass” having no value what so ever. His commercial is a dull spot in the terrible series of commercials featuring “Wild Thing” Charlie Sheen and Jessica Simpson.

    I live in Florida, I have heard from more than one of my friends whom are dyed in the wool Gate fans that Tebow is about as smart as a brick wall. One of them said, (and I was shocked as he is a huge Gate homer) that it’s well known that Tebow can barely carry on a conversation because he is so dense.

    Having said that, it is second and third hand – which of course makes it fact.

    Was it really Chris Leak that won the NC for you guys??? I think it was more of that stud defense/special teams you guys had last year. I believe you could have had Tebow start last year and still won it (or as my UF alum neighbor calls Tebow “The Future of Quarterbacking”).
    Maybe that’s a stretch…The last “Future” I can remember hearing about is trying to negotiate a plea deal because all his buddies/co-defendants have all turned on him.

    Funnier about Peyton Manning isn’t never beating Florida, it’s being the only Tennessee Quarterback ever to lose to Memphis… EVER.

    Actually the Big East took Cinci, Marquette, Depaul, South Florida, and Louisville in 2003. They just wanted Marquette and Depaul to play Basketball. Memphis would’ve been a good team to be in the Big East except Geographically they would be WAY too far away from everyone else.

    IMHO Arkansas should move to Big 12, Baylor should go to CUSA, and Memphis should go to the SEC. Being in the SEC is wicked awesome, but I think it would be more fun to be geographically closer to teams we play. Closest team in Miss. St. at 8 hours away from us right now.

    Never happen though as Memphis is far worse at football than any SEC teams 3rd string and they can’t compete at most of the sports like Track, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer, etc. that SEC teams all play.

    I was at that game at the Liberty Bowl when Memphis won. You would have thought the Tigers won the freakin Super Bowl. I think someone on campus even burned a couch…

    To be fair, until DeAngelo Williams got to campus, wins in Tiger football have been rare, almost like a Ron Zook coached team not running at least 4 bubble screens per game…

    Most of the students at the university didn’t even realize they had won. Campus is like 10 miles from the stadium. They were probably burning a couch as a gang initiation ritual or something.

    The only reason the Tiger College students go down town is to get drunk on Beale Street or watch the tigers manhandle their Conference USA opponents in Basketball. I don’t see the Tigers losing a conference USA game in Basketball for another 10 years.

    Yeah, I saw Memphis lose to Cincinnatti in Football one time. How do you lose to Cincinatti. They were so bad at football Conference USA made them leave and go to the Big East.

    I was talking about the parking lot at the Fairgrounds, not campus. Keep in mind that Orange Mound is across the bridge, so the burning smell of pleather was probably coming from there.
