Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

We are learning that head coach Nick Saban is all about class and instilling discipline. It is a sure bet that Castille will eat gallon of rocky road ice cream lovingly prepared with a houndstooth ice cream scooper. This arrest says a lot for Saban’s recently implemented peer-intervention program at the Capstone when one of it’s senior panel members is arrested.

One thing is readily apparent; the conspiracy to keep Alabama down is widespread and well-planned.

It is crystal clear now that the all of the SEC coaches are just jealous of Nick Saban. Everyone knows he is the biggest threat in the SEC. No other coach has the ability to create such a dynamic offense and a ‘300’ defense. The sooner that the rest of the SEC  realizes that Bama is back the better off we will be!!!

It is clear that Coach Saban has decided to treat his players like men by initiating a discipline program which forces them to determine whether or not they’ve been punished. Bama is back!!!

From Bama On-line:

Alabama cornerback Simeon Castille, a first-team All-SEC selection in 2006 and a 2007 preseason all-conference pick, was arrested by the Tuscaloosa Police Department early Sunday morning, BOL has learned.

“He was arrested early [Sunday] morning and released just after 4 A.M.,” said Tuscaloosa County Jail officer S. Spencer.

Castille was not in the arrest database on the Tuscaloosa County Jail website as of 7:30 Sunday morning and department policy prevented Spencer from providing specifics on Castille’s arrest.

“Once they have bonded out we are not allowed to provide any more information,” Spencer said.

Castille is the fourth UA football player to be arrested in five weeks. Brandon Deaderick (criminal mischief, resisting arrest and giving a false name to officers), Brandon Fanney (disorderly conduct) and Roy Upchurch (disorderly conduct) were arrested on July 14.

Deaderick was arrested by the Tuscaloosa Police Department, while Fanney and Upchurch were charged by UAPD. Deaderick has since applied for youthful offender status, while Fanney and Upchurch are scheduled to appear in District Court this week.

Castille led the SEC in turnovers a season ago, intercepting six passes and recovering three fumbles.

  1. I bet he was bonded out on his own recognizance, after the Saban Tooth Tider told the bastard at the jail that he didn’t have time for that bonding shit

  2. Pass me an ice cream cone

  3. The newest rumor is that Saban gave the T-Town PD an ass-chewing and that charges are to be dropped. From Bama on Line:

Rival fans who want to see Bama down don’t want to hear something good coming out of this with Simeon. I guess they will just have to get over it. LOL!

  4. “At least we didnt go 11-2, beat our big rival 5 times in a row, and still couldnt even get the top prospects in our own backyard to take our pathetic little second rate program seriously”…When will AU be able to reach the next level? Its 2007 and AU is still viewed as a backup option for the top players in the state and the southeast…

  5. Here is the Rivals BOL to insanity on this

  6. Umm someone better tell those at Bama on line that only the prosecutor can drop the charges. Unless Saban as been elected governor already.

  7. Yeah, AU takes a backseat to Alabama recruiting in Alabama, thats why they go to other states and get the top prospects and beat ass every year.

What you should really do is just not play your in state rival anymore Bama. The only way to continue talking all the trash you do is just have practices and spring games so that you can stop playing games against people.

  8. UAT class of 2006: 0-8 vs LSU and Auburn

    Bama Gator,
You say you get the best prospects in your state yet you lose to that cow college down the road 5 years in a row. What does that say about the competence of your school?

    Rowe Tihd! Bama’s Back!

  11. Of course, since all of this stuff has already happened, then I’m living in the past again.

  12. Bama Gator’s right. I mean, it’s not like they tried to kill the President. Coach Saban can’t be those boys’ daddy.

  13. Funny how the teams with no history want to forget about the past. Congrats to the gators, 2 championships in 3 years ? Bama has won back to back twice. Anybody with less than 12 championships go sit at the kiddy table.
