Well in hopes of channeling the General Neyland, I am going to funnel a bottle of George Dickel later today. I seem to hear someone ‘s voice in the back of my mind, but unless the General is telling me to “turn that damn tv down”, I think it’s just my wife. I still think that Fulmer wins at Cal.

KNOXVILLE — Tennessee senior quarterback Erik Ainge jammed the pinky on his throwing hand and might miss some practice this week, Vols coach Philip Fulmer said minutes ago.

Fulmer said he hopes Ainge will be healthy enough to start Saturday’s game at No. 12 Scary California, and he would check with trainers this afternoon to see if Ainge can practice today.

    It’s Fulmer’s fault. In all this time “The Great Recruiter” couldn’t find a decent QB to back up Ainge??? Who the hell sits out a game because of a jammed pinky??? So what it’s on his throwing hand. If you’re gonna channel the general, then give the RB’s 40 carries combined, throw 5 passes to keep Cal’s defense “on it’s toes” and have Chavis call a hell of a defensive scheme. Would LSU or Florida sweat the fact of their starting QB being hurt??? No, because of recruiting. They have blue chip backups waiting to be called, not Jon Crompton.

    I’m having a bad day and this doesn’t make it any better. It’s a matter of pride, and there’s no way an SEC team (even Vandy) should be losing to a tree hugging, hybrid car driving, blunt inhaling, pagan ass Cal team coached by sucky ass overhyped Jeff Tedford, and the WR’s that Lou Holtz said were faster than any he’s ever coached or seen. What the fuck ever. This cannot be happening…

    To make matters worse, I can’t even channel Neyland because here in TX, I haven’t been able to find George Dickel. So I got a bottle of Ol No. 7 and a fifth of Jose Cuervo. Hopefully that’ll do the trick. God, if this season goes in the toilet, fire Fat Phil and bring us Terry Bowden the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Are you kidding me? Cam Newton is Tim Tebow “Lite” and we have John Brantley and Bryan Waggener. Granted, none of them are on the same level as Tebow. But with all the weapons on offense, if one of them had to play they wouldn’t be asked to do too much.
