What a game this has shaped up to be. You SEC Homers should be ectatic that you don’t play in the Big East. Besides the fact the BE owns the SEC, the BE has passed the Big 10 as the premeire BCS Conference. Anyhoo, here is the Rutgers preview:
Rutgers is coming in with confidence after defeating the number two ranked USF bulls, the only team to defeat us so far this year. I dont know about you, but if I were RU, I would be jacked from that stand point. This game is huge to them because if they win, all of a sudden they control their fate as far as making it to a BCS bowl. The homefield advantage will be immense….needless to say, this will be a gigantic challenge in front of our Eers……..The Knights will want this game badly……………
All that being said, I see our boys playing with focus right now. I got cocky before the USF game and said we would focus on them completely and wouldnt make the mistakes we had made in the past, but unfortunately our boys proved that you never know. I am not about to make guarantees or predictions, but I just feel like WVU has been humbled and is finally buying into the Stay Humble Stay Hungry mentality. This game is HUGE for us, and a win will give us a great national perception. THIS IS A MUST WIN IN A BIG WAY (obviously, duh…) The resurgence of our #4 ranked D gives me great hope this year even with the loss.
Rutgers is going to give us their best shot, I dont expect a blowout, I expect a Big East battle of two tough, hard nosed teams. Slaton, Rice, Teel, White, Schiano, Rodriguez, Schmitt, this game is HUGE. I am actually surprised that College Gameday didn’t consider coming to Jersey for this.
It is time for the Mountaineers to put themselves back into the national spotlight. Lets earn back the pride we had taken from us in that awful night in tampa. Hold The Rope, Spot The Ball, Dominate on D and Explode on O. LET’S GO MOUNTAINEERS, BRING BACK A ‘W” BOYS
