Monitoring Vols Messageboards for drama, trends, analysis and headlines before they happen. “Tennessee could be good. Or they could be bad. We won’t know until the ball kicks off but even then we have no way of knowing.” – User OldBullsGapVol

Take this to the bank Barners:  My Eers ain’t Bama.  We won’t lay down and “take it” like those Crimson Pussies.

Mountaineer Field has been and will always be regarded as one of the toughest places to play over there years. I think a lot of that “Street Cred” comes from incidents like battery throwing, whiskey bottle throwing etc. etc, as well as our fans being not-so friendly to visitors no matter what their age. I only wish that we could find a way to incorporate the Florida Gator tradition of throwing piss on visiting fans. That would be incredibly fresh and *hot*  tradition that would only add to the invincible mystique of Morgantown.

Thursday night games is much more intimidating versus a typical Saturday. I can tell you that Auburn fans have been concerned about it because it’s a difficult venue from a logistical standpoint. The team travel requirements would be considered non-routine, therefore a disruption to normal game preparations. Plus my fellow Eer fans will save a special level of hell for an SEC that dares to visit WV. The Swamp, Neyland, and Between the Hedges will be fail compared to Morgantown. Its gonna be rocking bitches.

….. couple that with a Thursday night kickoff, and it really disrupts the normal pattern. Away-games are already difficult, but doubly so when traveling times are extended.

“This is the Morgantown I remember.” (Doug Flutie, a notorious SEC Hater) .  There is no greater and more accurate statement to be made about our atmosphere. That man lived it. He felt the heat of our fans screaming in his ears. He remembers his team’s missed audibles and the general shock that set in as our defense fed off of the intensity pouring out of the stands. He felt the electricity, he saw his teammates stunned, and he saw the eyes of Mountaineer defenders that knew they were going to stop him. I was there. It was insane. It was over the top.

Country Roads Motherfuckers, an ass-whipping is waiting for your arrogant ass, barner.
