Review of “Bama Profiles in Courage: Laykin”: (Capers) Barr flexes through an emotional range that most writers would never dare attempt … Humor and Bama sorrow are fused together like twined tree trunks that keep each other standing…..It’s part satire, part character study, with a wry lens on fame, fandom, and the modern South. Well done, Capers, well done.”– Ian Allen, The Times Literary Supplement.

Marlon Brown?  You didn’t want to come to Knoxville because of #8?  Well sir, you can kiss my ass.  Enjoy your 3 years of mediocre UGA football with the Poor Man’s Phil Fulmer.  At least Fulmer won a national championship.

Lane Kiffin’s comments on our QBs:

At a recent Knoxville breakfast meeting Kiffin said that when he got to USC, he had Carson Palmer, and he was told Palmer was not smart enough, not fast enough….he won a Heisman in that system.

Then they had Leinart, and he was told that Leinart didn’t have enough velocity. Leinart won a heisman and two national championships.

He went on to say that all three QB’s could work in his system and had a good upside.

I read this to mean that Kiffin thinks our QBs are not very smart and Crompton will win the Heisman.
